I was fat , yes very fat over 360 pounds. I became that not over night, just one extra bite at a time.
It started when I was young I was a big guy 6’3” 210 football player strong as an ox and loved food.  I had jobs that built muscles and kept me in shape. Food was part of my life, my mother cooked always for our family and all events revolved around food.  I found comfort in food, when I had my tonsils removed when I was young the first thing I wanted was Peanut butter and mustard on toast.  For hanging out with friends it was Bob’s Big Boy …burger, fries with blue cheese a shake , milk, pie and an extra glass of milk.
By the time I got married at 23 I was still a 44 long for a jacket with 36 inch pants. (This is the same I had in High School)  The first few years of the good life I went to the gym and ran, played tennis and basketball.
Kids came life changed I divorced and put on a few pounds, still played basketball and was active somewhat.   Remarried and started out as a 38 inch waste. More children came and life got harder, so I turned to comfort food.  Life was busy and cost changed so no extra for the gym and not much time for basketball.  Yes but food was there and I loved eating. Job had me going out to eat three times a week or more.
Food was now my friend, to the point of 360 pounds and now a 48 inch waste and a 52 long coat. That was close to ten years ago. Then a friend told me about Medifast  ( I knew about it from working in hospitals and for doctors)  I said I would try it, I was moving to Texas and so it went with me, then to Utah. I drank the shacks and started to lost few pounds, (around 30) and I worked at a very hard job.  So I went to a 46 pant and thought wow I am doing good. Still at a 52 coat.
My knees started to hurt more I justified that it was from my old football injury. My legs swelled up and feet hurt, yet I loved food more.
Now here I am I know I am a stress eater, I socialize mostly around food, I live near a great bakery so bread is with every meal and milk and cookies are still comfort food.
So my friend calls me and checks on me (as he has done for years) and I start back up on TSFL medifast.  Starting at 306lbs and 44 pants I start a new path this time with a coach, goals and food not just shakes.  Buy the time I start this blog I am down 30lbs at 269 in 4 weeks. The system works if you have help!

I will post pictures, recipes, likes and dislikes and ideas to help those that need a push to make it back to health and enjoying food and life.
